Can we register a society in one state and run the institution of that society in another state?
Is it possible and if where can i find the answer.

If the bye-laws of the registered society permit such permission only then institution in the another state can be run under that society.

In Karnataka, we have Karnataka Registration of Societies Act. Similarly, you shall have one in your state. You refer to that Act. You shall have mentioned in the bye-laws at the time of registration that the society/Association shall have branches in other states.

The Societies Registration Act, 1860 is a central Act and if a society is registered thereunder whether the society can have activities through the entire country.
