1. How do you get the property?
2.Who is the owner? Then what is ur position?
3.How do u say u r eligible for 270 sq.ft?
4.What is meant by pagadi, is it lease?

What is ur demand/ requirement/ plea?

Dear Mr. Vijayan,
The querist is a long-standing tenant.
To get tenancy rights a huge amount is paid at the initial states (it is not in the nature of security, but you can it is a kind of a premium - such practice exists in Mumbai etc.)
Whenever a real owner wants vacation of the tenanted premises, the owners compromise with the tenants and give a lumpsum amount and get the premises vacated.
There are other cases where the said property is re-developed (mainly because of its delapidated and precarious condition due to wear and tear).
It is in this context that the querist wants to know whether he can get 270 Sq.ft. as against his present possession of 130 Sq.ft.
To my knowledge I do not know whether there is any codified law to deal with the subject. After all it may be a bargain between the tenant and the owner as I said earlier.
With the above inputs, perhaps you may like to chip in with your views, if any.
