hello sir,
i am staying in a cooperative society frm last 19yrs our building is facing leakage problem and so our society have decided to rennovate it, i have my ownership terrace flat on 6 th floor(top)where terrace is my personal and my commitee member have ask each member to contribute 25000, per flat for repairs they r breaking entire slab and pillars and make new one also paint and many work like pipe line , wiring work of entire building. since my terrace is personal and i have open terrace flat i am paying one and half month maintanance every month. so they r asking me to pay one and half expenses means 6250 more total 18250 to pay as repair funds. what do i do ? is it legally correct and should i pay more as they r going to repair my personall terrace also,kindly guide me for the same. if not tell me wt do i do? where do i approach for help wt is legall procedure.

Each and everything one can protest / object. But one has to have a overall perspective of the things required to be done. If you approach through court of law, you will be spending much more than what you are now required to pay by the Society. When you say that the building is faciling leakage problem, what you have to consider is whether the leakage is to be arrested or not. Once you agree that the leakage is to be arrested, the rest of the things should fall in place.

i am nt satisfied wth the reply becos i wann to knw whether i have to pay more amt or not even aftr paying 1 and half maintanace from last 19 yrs, as they r not allowng us to do anythg on terrace nor we can cover nw they wann us to throw our pots ( which r hardly 8 or 9). the questin is it legally we need to pay or is it society headachE to do ? as they r taking maintanace of open terrace frm last 19 yrs,if they r asking us money than why r taking maintanace of open terrace frm last 19 yrs, that is the question. it is diffi and we will spend more is diff part. u should gv advice and suggestion that will motivate people , in this" WORLD IF WE FEAR PEOPLE WILL NOT LET US LIVE" DISAPPOINTED BY THE ANSWER FRM UR END. I ASKED U IS IT LEGALLY PAYABLE OR NT??? AND UR SUGGESTION IS CONFUSSING AND DEMOTIVATING.
