renewel of house registration

I live in malad west very close to jalkalyan ngr, i live on rental basics, i need to renew my house contract or you can say re-registration has to be done, i would like to know where do i go and renew my contract, what is the actual procedure, how much would the whole thing cost and should i take some professional help and if so then from where. is it possible that i do the whole procedure myself. pls help, thankyou.

First and foremost you have not mentioned how you live presently in the said rental house by executing leave and licencseb basis ? or which contract you executed with your house owner? Ok, you first ask to your house owner first whether he is further like to continue you or not. If he is willing then go for Leave and Licensse agreement for certain periods like 11 months etc. in which you fix all terms and conditions i.e rent etc. You may registered it with Malad Sub-Registrar for which you have to pay some stamp duty. This will be legal. If previously executed the same, let it expired and can execute a fresh Leave and License.
