Insanity?

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 29 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
Girl went to her parents house, when she suppose to come back, her parent informed she does not want to come back and did not allow husband to speak to her,
husband in desperation to talk to her, sent her video, beating himself to get chance to speak to her , he was understand impression it was parents who were preventing her from speaking to her.

would this act be consider insanity and ground of for divorce. Does this act qualify for mental curelty on wife under 498a?
Shonee Kapoor (Expert) 29 September 2011
:-)

This act is stupid to say the least on the part of the husband and can be used against him as mentally unstable even if not insane.

This per-se is not mental cruelty under 498-a.

But be prepared for surprises, if she is not coming back.
