Divorce and pregnancy

Hi,

1. Husband and wife want to separate
2. wife Preganant
3. mutual consent

Husband is worried if pregancy will be bottleneck for divorce

If the wife is willing to take compleet custody of teh kid with no intention of troubling the husband? what is teh consequence

I am not sure , if teh wife conceived after filing for divorce

What does teh law say?

Wife is provided custody of such minor kid as per Indian law. If you both are ready then file a mutual divorce petition and you can settle all matters at the time of making final statement after 6 months.

wait a minute, if wife is pregnant, there is no way you can seek Mutual Consent Divorce.

Because if she got pregnant even on last date of your cohabitation, it has not completed one year of mandatory separation before filing for MCD.
