Bank deposit

my father has bank deposit for more than 10 lacks my step mother is the nominee do I have any right over the deposit after the dead of my father

You have every right upto your share if there is no will signed by your father.nominee is only custodian for the movable immovable property till the settlement of the claims within legal hairs

Yes. Nominee has no right to the deposit unless she is one of the legal heirs.
All legal heirs have a right in the deposit.

Answer: Yes, you have absoulte right over the deposit.However, if you father left will behind him, then right would be deceided as per will.

As a legal heir, of course, you will have the right to claim your share, provided there is no will of your father in favour of your step mother. But, you will have to claim your share only from your step mother. Bank will not entertain your request as against its liability to pay only to your father's nominee.

Agree with expert Mr.Dhingra. At the same time, you can approach the appropriate court and get the court orders to stop payment of deposit to the nominee. I agree with all experts as far as your right is concerned.
