how to calculate six month period, validity of cheque ..is it 180 days or 186 days ?

Validity of cheque is now 90 days from the date mentioned on the cheque earlier it was 180 days.

Yes !It is now only 90 days .

The validity of the cheque is now 3 months instead of 6 months from the date of issue w.e.f. 01.04.2012.
Cheque issued on 02.07.2013 will be valid till 01.10.2013.

Rajindra Goyal has righly advised. Complete months from date to date are taken in to account for judging the validity irrespective of No. of days (28, 29, 30 or 31) in a month.
