Company under liquidation and settlement of claims

(Querist) 13 August 2013 This query is : Resolved 
A plantation company has been liquidated and an Advocate has been appointed as Administrator. He has sold off assets of the company and settling the investors. Is the Administrator obliged under RTI to give information on financial aspects of the company such as total assets taken over for administration, value as per company books of accounts, total assets sold off and realisation from therein.

No, administrator is not obliged under RTI aCT.

RTI Act is not applicable to private instrumentality but such information can be obtained from high court when this administrator shall file his final report.
