Hi,
Recently I was falsely implicated by Thane police.One of the reason they quoted was because I asked for FIR copy in hindi or english(because I cant understand Marathi well)I would like to know what does law say about it?
Dont citizens of India have right to get FIR in language they understand?

Yukta it is the right to get the copy in vernacular language understand by accused.

You can get copy of FIR from court through your lawyer file and get it translated.

Copy of FIR is now to be uploaded online, can search net.
