No sir i went to court after one week and paid a fine of 2000rs. No fir have been registered. Just a fine.

1. Drinking is usually a "chronic & nefarious habit".
2. It will be highly risky to take up a Govt. job, since IF the drinking habit continues, THEN it will be a great loss to the Public and you will never get another proper job.

Violation of minor offences like over speed, traffic, failure to wear seat belt etc, are happening daily,and I don't see any reasons,why it should be a ground to deprived any person in job market. Of course, if a person is chronically addicted to alcohol with the amount of alcohol in the body, that is a matter entirely for the consideration of the appropriate authority, but certainly not for traffic rules.

Just walk in for the interview, and on query about traffic incidents, show the receipts of payment of fines. I said "don't worry be happy".All the best.

Mr. Srikanth,
Nobody can bar you from applying. But, final conclusion will be of the recruiting authority that too based on the conclusion of the judge of the case awarding you the nature of penalty. Guess work or prediction cannot work in legal cases.

Generally, traffic offences do not adversely affect eligibility for employment as such offences do not involve moral turpitude. However, authorities can take take a different view as to drunken driving, esp. if it is a repeated offence.
