Regarding property distribution and selling process

Hi Sir,
I have a home of my grandfather which should be divided between three brothers(One is my father and his two brothers). My father brothers want to sell there part to another party not to my father due to some misunderstandings. My father are willing to buy that property but there bothers are not intrested to sell him. So i want to know that is there any rule in muslim personal law to bound them to sell there part to my father first .

First of all brothers of your father cannot sell their part of a joint property without getting that partitioned appropriately. However, if your father is so willing, he may purchase through some property dealer by paying competitive market price of the shares of his brothers. Otherw3ise, your father can't compel them to sell their shares to your father.
