I have my Salary Account in HDFC Bank ,however to my Surprise I get to know that my Salary was blocked by their Credit Card Division due to some Credit Card payment issues which I am not aware of..I have surrendered all my Cards in year 2007 and suddenly from nowhere they have come out and torturing me like this...Please help me out as what can i do in this case and how can I get my salary released by these goons.

Dear Anonymous,
You say HDFC Bank is a goon, they may say you are a scoundrel. It would be better to avoid such words in this Forum.
As per the facts, you say you do not have any dues on credit card, bank says there is and in fact they have even appropriated your salary towards their due. It would be better for you to approach the bank and find out the exact details. Without knowing the details no one would be in a position to give any reasonable view.

complain to the banking ombudsman

In fact, surrendering of cards would have stopped you usage of the facility for future. That does not mean the existing then credit card liabilities have been liquidated. Please check up the facts from the statement of account even through internet banking and get your grievances (if any) redressed by Banking Ombudsman as advised by Shri S.Subramanian Sir.

I agree with Mr.Parthsarathi.

Who ever responsible for this dispute may be but the acts of the Bank is certainly beyond the purview of its authority.
You can lodge complaint to the Banking Ombudsman but the same does not have any adjudicatory power . It only tries to make amicable settlement between the parties.
For expeditious remedy you can complain to the Consumer Forum u/s 12 of the Consumer Protection Act which may not only direct the Bank to release your account but also get you substantial damages.
