Genealogical tree of first seller?

(Querist) 23 May 2013 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I am planning to purchase a property and have a query.

I am planning to purchase from the builder who is the third owner. Meaning Person A sold to B and B in turn sold to the builder.

Builder has provided the genealogical tree of second owner [B] and he says he dont have the same of the first owner [A]. The documents claim it as ancestral property of A.

When i asked the genealogical tree for person A from the builder, they say its not required and they dont have it. Also they mentioned saying genealogical tree from immediate seller is important and not from first seller. Is that the case?

Is it safe to pursue further?

Really appreciate your help on this.

Thanks, Subbu

Unless one sees the chain of documents, it is not possible to give an answer to your query.

The opinion of the builder is incorrect. It is the buyer who has to go through on each and every point including the chain of the title of the property since at least last 30 years.

If builder is not providing you chain, you can obtain it from your own efforts by getting the mutation of B.

it is risky to go ahead.
