Hi
We have following clause in our appointment letter. and now just want to reinforce by mentioning the same in the relieving letter.
CONFIDENTIALITY
You shall not either during your engagement with the company or thereafter, divulge to any person whatsoever any formulae, processes, methods, machines, compositions, ideas or any other information including computer data & licensed software concerning the business and affairs of the company or any of its dealings, transactions which come to your knowledge during the course of your employment, or use any of the same for your own benefit.
This provision shall continue to apply after the termination of service with the company and shall cease to apply only with respect to information or knowledge which may come into the public domain without fault of the employee.
Request your inputs. Thanks

Dear Shruti
you can add this clause in Reliving letter but this clause will be void as per contract act.Sec.27 “Every agreement by which anyone is restrained from exercising a lawful profession, trade or business of any kind, is to that extent void.”

Why do you take the shelter of this charity site for such commercial matter. Why don't you avail the specific professional services of a layer?
