Hi,
At the time of my and my sisters admission in First standard there was mistakenly registered my mother's caste. But now we want to change it to my father's cast even I have my father caste certificate and blood relatives. Can you please help how can I do thia I am totally confused. Our birth and college place is Pune..

3rdly who your father is by cast and who your mother is by cast?
4thly why rule of holding over should not apply to you?
5thly is intention of change is to seek Govt.'s reservation in employment sector?

no it was not did for reservation even we paid all fees in education and even we paying it. ... Now currently in record cast has registered as a SC and father caste is NT. That time my mother family members had done my educational admission and all activity so they asked to update my mother caste.

they don't aware about my father cast, so they assumed that my cast also same so it happened. So now I have my father cast certificate.

my mother's cast is Hindu Mahar and my father's cast is Hindu Gavali. So we want change it to Gavali in school records.

Manoj Vaje is my name, sorry to disturbed you all, I have done my college from Pune University. I'm not called this mistake but it's have to updated with my father's cast. So need suggestions hoe can I do correct this from school / college records. It's something that I've to do affidavit?

Mr. Manoj Vaje , caste record can be changed up to School level by giving application to school authority, but it is not changed further at College level. Now you are going to complete college education also so it's no use. Why you have not taken benefits of SC (Schedule Caste)reservations granted by Govt. during your school and college education? Even NT (Nomadic Tribes) also have more competitions. So better, now take benefits of SC instead of thinking to change from SC to NT. But for your children in future, if you want to them as NT then in school itself you mentioned in record as NT on the basis and proof of your father's caste.

thank you sir for your good responce. Because of the caste certificate. But I want reflect my caste as a Gavali, I dont wnat to continue with this caste. I am not thinking wrong way about this but I want to reflect my caste as my father' cast. Because I have my father's cast certificate now. I want to apply my cast certificate too. So in the future I will face not any issue.

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE CAST BENEFIT APPLICABLE TO THE CAST OF FATHER.
CHANGE OF CAST ONCE RECORDED (EVEN IF WRONGLY) IS NOT EASY BECAUSE YOU MUST BE HAVING A CAST CERTIFICATE ALSO.
Such like mistakes of entering wrong cast at the time of school admission are not accidental and rather are calculated frauds by parents which child realizes when grown up with the benefits of having concessions of wrong cast.
