Respected sir
I m from kerala,22 year old,I belong to Hindu sambava (Scheduled caste ) by birth. My parents belong to Hindu Scheduled caste, now my parents believes in christanity,but i m not belive in christianity,, my problm is , i will not get sheduled cast certificate from village office, they reject my application and saying that my parents are beliving christanity ... but i belive in hidusm.what should I do?? if i embrace hinduism through arya samaj will i get reservation??? plz help me ..

How old are you ?
as per law parents community will effected to the children.

At the time of your birth your parents whether christains or hindus. On that point your caste will be decided.

You can embrace Hinduism and your original caste which shall provide you the desired benefits.

Parents having faith and belief in Christianity doesn't mean you too are christian. Originally you belong to a particular caste which was and is recorded in the books maintained by the department. You can proceed by preferring application before the Caste scrutiny committee and subsequent to which if you are denied with a caste certificate, file writ petition challenging the same. Embarrassing a religion unless by birth does not change religion is what is held by Supreme Court.
