(Querist) 29 January 2014 This query is : Resolved
I'm working for a MNC as a Manager-Finance. for 1 year and 6 months. my appointment in the company was for two years on contract basis. we are only three employees in the company all are on contract basis. the management is satisfied with our working and they wish to extend our contract for further two years. I requested them to give an permanent employment letter in steed of contractual to it has bad impact upon our credentials. our director said if there is any law which provide provisions in claim of your demand please show. I will consider.

i want to convince him that if he will issue permanent employment letter it will not harm company at any cost. requesting for guidance.
Regards,
Avanish

Since it is a private job any agreement of permanent nature will not be of much help as in case of breach civil litigation is only remedy.
Better remain in lookout of better job and shift to new once once you get such opportunity.

You can not force your boss to accept such demand in private concern. Agree with the expert Devajyoti Barman ji, explore possibility for some other better job.

Agree with both experts.

Instead of begging, better demonstrate some unique and innovative style of your working and leadership qualities, so that the management itself is compelled to request you for your continued service on permanent basis.

If not, don't get tied up with the contractual job. Try your luck in some other company.

Don't waste your youth and be overage with such employers that shy from offering permanent employment.

If you are skilled you shall have many options to be with companies with good HR practices.
