Junior in service and junior in cadre getting more pay

I was appointed as B T AssT in a tamilnadu govt aided school in 21-09-1992.I got two incentives for M.sc and M.Ed from that date of appointment.I got one increment for selection grade in that post.In 12-03-2004 I was promoted as P G asst and working till date. My friend X was appointed on 20-10-1992 (one month junior) as vocational instruc ter with same scale of pay . He got two incentive and selection grade recently.Now he got Rs 7000 more than me. Both have two incentive and selection grade in different period . H M says that I can not compare the salary of my junior because we are in differt category.Now I am P G asst getting very much less than junior in service and junior in category. please guide me

Go through service rules, if you are from the same stream / cadre having same promotion and pay criteria you can represent the matter in writing to your department.

both of you are working in same school
but are you in the same seniority list. or you are part of different subject wise seniority list.

You must verify the criteria by comparing his promotions and eligibility criteria at different stages of the career with that of yours, you should satisfy that you have sailed with him parallel, if yes, you can write to your competent authority mentioning the pay anomaly through proper channel, if the rely is not satisfactory, you may take a legal recourse on the subject.

He has no any promotional chance as he is working as vocational teacher, B T asst scale of pay,since he got two incentives and increment in new way that is 3% of basic of pay) he got more pay than me. I got two incentives at the time of appointment just rs 40 + rs 40 for one incentive(ONE incentive is equal to two increment that is 3%+ 3% of basic.) He is junior in appointment date, since i got promotion as P G asst, he is junior in cadre also.what can i do , can i file a writ, please read the first message inwhich i clearly described
