False claim on property

(Querist) 10 May 2015 This query is : Resolved
I have a residential plot in A.P. A person unknown to me sent a legal notice claiming that I entered into an agreement with him to sell my plot by giving me an advance amount. He wants me to register the plot in his name by taking the balance amount.
I never met him, did not take any money and did not enter into any agreement.
What options do I have to handle this kind of false claim? Thanks,

Highly imaginary and hypothetical and unrealistic story.
Consult a local lawyer with the said notice for proper analyzing, forming an opinion, advise/guide and proceed in a professional manner.

You must give a reply notice through your lawyer denying the allegations if they are really false.
