Dear Sir,
I purchased a plot from a Jaipur developer on the condition that:
I will re-sell it (without JDA registration) within 1 year - just after completing EMI.
Accordingly, I gave him 12 post-dated cheques for each month.
But now, he's asking for additional amount, saying this is for the mandatory charges that he has already paid to JDA (Jaipur Development Authority) for the plot. He called me to pay in 10 days, or earlier.
I'm suspicious because he had never informed this earlier while pushing the plot to me.
Is it normal to charge this amount (JDA charges) by the developer even if the plot-buyer does not want to register the plot?
Should I agree to this sudden demand for payment?
Thanking you in anticipation of your reply,

-- This depend on the custom, terms of agreement in the area. It is advised to get the property transferred in your name.

- Depends on the situation, however registration of property recommended.
