About Release deed

Dear sirs,
I have facing torture from my aunty and her childrens. My late father and my aunty are the only two children's to my grand father, my grandfather died in 1996.
My aunty is born in the year 1952, my father gave 2acres of land and khatha transferred to her name, later she sold that land, additionally money also given.
Now I have 1.5 acres land and home in village, to save this, is Release Deed necessarily required from my aunty or does this recent Supreme Court order on women's property right helps.
Kindly advice.

Since your grandfather dies before 2005 you aunt can not claim share in the ancestral property of her father.No need for release deed though theirs is no harm in getting it anyway.

If you can obtain it is better to obtain registered release deed.
