Duty on rest day

I am a railway employee. Staff position in our wing with respect to the BOS is poor. Besides Admn not paying overtime since long. Sunday was my rest day. My immediate incharge serve me a memo to perform duty on my rest day. But keeping in view the above scenario i refused to work on that day. Now admn has served me with SF 11. I belongs to COMMERCIAL wing sub part of Traffic department. Its other part is Operating wing. In that wing also staff doing duties without availing rest for months. Please suggest me the best option.

Mukul as per rule u can work for 8 hours a day and not the extra work given by senior.

What is SF 11, whether it is show cause notice, charge sheet, explanation letter or otherwise.
In railways employee can be called / entrusted on emergency duties in case of need.
Discuss with Union people, reply the memo.

You could have worked.
Apply your rapport with superiors, peers and request for rest day while adjusting with others.

Standard Format 11 is charge sheet. I have a duty roster following which i have taken rest.They served memo on my rest day. I think it should be done atleast 24 hrs before.

Whether your service conditions provide that such memo should be issued before 24 hrs. or it is your opinion?
Whether such Memo can be issued in less time in case of emergency?
Discuss with your association people / your service conditions and reply the charge sheet.
