whether and what penal provisions of informatiom technology act will be attracted,, if a person submits his fake identity proof while purchasing a new mobile connection?? if above provisions are not attracted then plz refer the relevant provisions and acts in this regard..

It is a case of forgery punishable under Section 465/471 Indian Penal Code. The provisions of Information Technology Act are not attracted unless and until the documents are submitted via electronic medium, computer resource or any communication device in which case the provisions of Section 66D IT Act would be attracted.
