Divorce case

Please anyone tell me how much a lawyer will charge to take up a divorce case in chennai..

Please dont say it depends on case....

Atleast try to give a range of amount...

I have to check my financial position based on it before i proceed.....

I have seen lawyers charging Rs. 2000/- in Delhi also seen lawyers extracting upto 5 lakhs,

Once I asked a lawyer, how you decide fee. He replied. "Maatha Dekh Kar Tilak Lagta hai."

Advocates fees varies depending on the nature of the case, the standing of the Advocate at the Bar and his expertise in the matter and stakes involved in the case. Some times they may agree to charge less or do free of cost if the matter is of public interest or charitable in nature.
