Secratary not residing in society

my query is ,
if secretary of housing society has given his flat on rent and residing some other society,
than, can he hold secretary post as per society bye-laws.
and can any member of society take objection on his post and can member ask resignation from secretary post only for above said reason.

in next managing committee meeting members can request Secretary to reign . if he refuses pass a no confidence motion against him .

secretary is in charge of day to day management of society . it is advisable secretary should be a permanent resident of society
