Is the bar of limitation atracted in filing the complaint u/s 406, 466 and 468 of ipc?

(Querist) 16 December 2013 This query is : Resolved 
the alleged offence are prior to 1997. The offences made out are punishable u/s 406, 420, 468 and 471. Now I have to lodge the complaint before the JMFC. Is the bar of limitation attracted?

For offences punishable beyond 7 years has no time limit but filing case for such old offences has certainly no merit.

the limitation can be start from the knowledge of offence. read section 468 to 473 of Cr.P.C
under section 473 the court have power to condone the delay in the interest of justice.
