Transfer of electricity connection

To,
Respected lawyers/Experts,
I am a resident of Amravati district,Maharashtra. I have build-up a house on a plot and got new electricity connection in the house. Now due to some problems I want to sell the same, so please advise me how to transfer electricity connection at the time of selling the house. Whether the details of connection and meter readings can be mentioned in the sale dead or a separate dead is to be prepared or some other procedure is there.

You being seller have only to intimate the electricity board about the sale of your house along-with the electricity connection whereas the buyer has to get it changed in his name. Intimation in writing with copy of the sale-deed with due receipt shall suffice.

Your own able counsel can draft the agreement/deed to cover your interest.

Usually the buyer and seller may visit jurisdiction o/o Electricity supplier and sign the requisite forms/agreement with company and attach copy of sale deed, ID proof,photographs.
