Whether Government employee and Government undertaking employee is same ?
Guest (Expert) 28 October 2012
Government employee and Government undertaking employee is not the same. Officials working in a department directly under some Government Ministry is treated as Government employee. On the other hand, an employee of Government undertaking is treated as a private employee like a company or corporation employee, whose services are regulated by the rules framed by the undertaking, itself, after due approval by the Board of Directors. However, it is at the discretion of the Board of the undertaking to adopt Government Rules for its employees by passing a Board resolution.

About West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act 1997, I am sorry to inform you, I don't have any access to the Acts of the State Government of West Bengal.
