Dear Shrikant,

If the parition or will effected before amendment subsequent claims are invalidated but after comencement act every one has the right to claim in respect of subject property. Marriage is immatirial. Please completely gothrough the Hindu Succession act.

A Hindu joint family consists of the common ancestor and all his lineal male descendants upto any generation together with the wife/ wives (or widows) and unmarried daughters of the common ancestor and of the lineal male descendants. In the entire Hindu joint family, the karta or manager occupies a very important position. Karta is the eldest male member of the family.
