Is the laws pertaining to number of working hours in any establishment are also same for persons employed in farms and plantation . Is the law same for overtime and payment for overtime ?

● We have farms which operate in Jabalpur, Punjab, Bihar and Odhisha and Eastern UP. Which over time guidelines work on these states .
● What positions are entitled for overtime for full time staff e.g.,
Assistants - HR, Fin, Admin and projects
Drivers, Farm - Assistant, mechanics and technicians
● In all farm location we also have contract labour who works through contractors. What overtime policy is applicable for them?

Commercial queries cannot be possible to be solved through general replies to casual queries. Since in your case various labour laws are applicable that too with particular reference to the laws applicable in different states, you have the need to take consultancy on regular basis or to employ a full time HR as well as additional Legal Manager, if you are unable to cope with the requirement in the capacity of a legal manager of the organisation.

Why should Mr.Dhingra or any Expert not post reply to a query initiated by you or any other querist/author?
Every legal manager may not
necessarily be well versed with all fields of law and in particular; labor laws that is altogether different field of law.........
Mr.Dhingra is right that knowledge of state laws matter and commercial establishment can afford and should prefer to avail the service of a well versed Labor Law Consultant/Law Firm..........and a full fledged HR Dept. manned by HR personnel.
