daily read some chapters of IPC CR PC .
read the commentary on various acts .
dont be after money . join some senior criminal lawyer . gain some experience
read latest judgements .
on this site read replies of experts on various queries raised on criminal law . read the sections quoted by them .

To become an expert in criminal laws you shall have to follow the following advice; 1.you shall have to study Indian Penal Code,Criminal Procedure code, Evidence act, Criminal law journals and Criminal cases in U.K. and U.S. courts for at least 4 hours in a day regularly by guidance of A senior Criminal lawyer.

While going through a case file you put yourself at scene on occurrence. Then think what is natural in this situation and what should happen in those circumstances.
Then compare your story with story on record and find discrepancies.
