How to deal with abusive cooperative societies

How can I deal with secretary and supervisor who are abusive and if anything are to be told to them, they started abusing. Secretary has kept a goon instead of supervisor to collect maintainencne charges. How to deal and complain for it ?

Complain to the Registrar/Joint registrar of Societies of your area.

Nothing new. Approach registrar, get him voted out. Road ahead = he will not easily hand over the papers and accounts.

You are not the only sufferer of behaviour of the Secretary, isn't it ?
Let the MC / AGM pass "No confidence" motion against such rogue Secretary.

Why the AGM has chosen such a person? The Secretary holds the position subject to the pleasure of the Members. The members, in the General Body, can correct or remove him.

Actually in some societies the formative President and Secretaries assume themselves to be owner of a fiefdom and residents of their raiyyat. Even their families and servants live in the aura.

They do not behave properly. They do not like to have AGM and conduct elections. When voted out the allege the election to be illegal and do not even hand over the records and accounts. Most of them have retired from lowly posts and have no idea of the law they are violating.

They appear as Bheegi Bill before Registrar.
