Is there anything like an Irrevocable Power of Attorney (especially in Property Matters) ? When can a Power of Attorney be totally Irrevocable ?

POA can be general or specific... The word irrevocable is not added to them... The word irrevocable is found with Letters of Credit in banking terminology

Power Of Attorney can be revoked at any time by principal.No such condition may be imposed legally.

The ANXIETY of querist is also not without any basis as in U.P. whenever you register a POA you need to incorporate that same is 'not irrevocable' which they say they are bound by their circular.

Irrevocable word is also used in Punjab & Haryana.

In case of Property (Open Plot , Flat or Shop) , can the Owner give an irrevocable Power of Attorney to anyone in which he gives powers to that person to develop , construct on the Land , or sell the Property ?

This is a minor problem.
Where ever there is restriction for IRREVOCABLE POA is in fact not as per spirit of the law.
Because in every legal action this question arises whether the POA is in force at that particular point.
Another aspect where defense advocates derail the trial is that grantor should come before the court if alive and not grantee to prove POA.
THERE ARE VERY INTERESTING CITATIONS WHEN EVER THIS ASPECT WAS CONTESTED.
