Leaving job after one day

(Querist) 18 October 2012 This query is : Resolved
RESPECTED ATTORNEYS..
I JOINED A LIMITED COMPANY AS MANAGEMENT TRAINEE.ON FIRST DAY I ATTENDED INDUCTION PROGRAMME AND FILLED UP JOINING DOCUMENTS IN WHICH THEY ASKED ABOUT PERSONAL & EDUCATIONAL TRAINING.
THEY DID NOT GET ANY DOCUMENT SIGNED FROM ME IN THE FORM OF CONTRACT.

I WAS NOT ABLE TO ADJUST IN THE COMPANY AS WE HAD TO COMPULSORILY LIVE IN COMPANY PREMISES .
SO ON SECOND DAY I LEFT FROM THERE MAKING AN EXCUSE OF SOME FAMILY PROBLEM.NOW I DONT WANT TO WORK THERE.
CAN THERE BE ANY LEGAL ACTION TAKEN BY THE CO.
DOCUMENTS WHICH I HANE SIGNED DO NOT CONTAIN ANY THING LIKE A CONTRACT NOR THERE IS ANY MENTION OF NOTICE PERIOD.
PLS RESPOND AS I AM UNDER SEVERE PRESSURE..

you should have the courtesy to infomr th rmanagement that you wont be able to work in said organisation as it is mandatory requirement to stay in company premises . if you have not received any appointment letter nor you have signed any document then you are safe .

Have you received the offer letter or appointment letter with some conditions prescribed thereon?

Also, did not you sign attendance role or induction cum admission form of joining training, as a joining report, duly signing that form?

Both the experts are right.

If you have not signed any contract, forget about the job. You need not to worry.
