Hi,
Myself Uday Kumar my matter is that,my mother was expired on 26th june 2007.I am a adopted son.She left a will that shows the I am only one son.In bank her saving a/c,DBDs(amt.app. 5 lacs) without nominee.I produce all documents(Family membership certificate,death certificate,two guaranters having thrice worth of said amt.)but,bank demands me succession certificate for payment.What can I do please suggest me?

You fill the case for succession certificate as the amount is of five lacs. The court will issue certificate after you fill the case.

You can get the amount from the bank only by producing succession certificate.

Contact a lawyer and apply for succession certificate in court.

Apply for succession certificate from Appropriate Court.

Bank is correct. Succession Certificate must be produced to claim such huge amounts of money.
