Lesser amount received as a tds refund

Respected seniors & dear friends,
i have filed my ITR for the assessment year2011-2012 in which i have claimed tds refunds and i have received a refund cheque but the amount is not as per the claimed amount, the amount is less than i have claimed now in this condition what should i do? please guide me.

Contact ITO office and Make representation for less amount received.

Dear, You have to check your 26AS and after verification that your complete tds amount have been mateched or not? Than contect your assesing authority with application of rectification under section 154 of I.T.Act. Thank U.

1. Please compare your tax computation and TDS claim vis a vis departmental tax computation sent to you. It may be possible that you made a claim more than due.
2. If departmental computation is incorrect, you can apply for rectification.
3. For incorrect TDS or other tax credit, please check form 26AS. Your TDS may not be reported by deductor. In such case first follow up with TDS deductor to update or correct his TDS return.
For online filed return, you have to file an online application for rectification. Otherwise you can file rectification application with the officer from whom you have received the order.
