Money given against plot security but cheated /fraud

1)I had given money to a builder against a agreement /sathekhat of his plot in oct 2014 for one month specified in agreement
2)And if failed to repay my amount agreement would be executed for plot agreed..
3)He said wait he will return with one month and gave some interest ..
4)he said yes every month till March and finally with a lawyer who had done above agreement was told to execute plot agreement
5)Agreement was made ready and a paper notice was put up ..in process of paper notice he told in june that plot was already sold to another person a fraud
6)To compensate this he gave written document and 2 cheques of next month with assurance he will return all amount
7)Cheque bounced in July
8)but he still yes he will repay
9)this is still going on with 3 cheques bounced
what should i do money not returned , plot not given , cheque bounced ??

You can file criminal case of cheating to punish him.
You can file cheque bouncing case to get the money.
File summary suit as well to get the money back.

You should have issued notice of cheque bounce and should have initiated case u/s 138 NI Act.

1. File a cheating case.
2. File a complaint for cheque bouncing under Negotiable Instruments Act.
3. File summary suit for recovery of money.

If there is no bar by limitation, a cheque bounce case may be filed besides lodging a criminal complaint against him. A civil money recovery suit may also be on the anvil.
