We had bought a plot in 1990 and it was sold under name of Gangotri society. Back then, we were shown society map and there was a road connectivity to the plots. The chairman of the society owns the plot connected to the main road. He is now stating he wont give any land for road and so our plot is at no man's land having no connectivity to the road. In total 6 plots are in hung state now since there is no connectivity from land. We do not have the society plan with us and the chairman is not co-operating. Kindly suggest the way forward.

If there is no access to road from the property, you have rights to file a suit for easementary rights against the society. Consult a local lawyer and proceed with a suit for easementary rights and permanent injunction.

All the learned friends are rights , over and above, if the plots are sold with a sanctioned layout with a road connectivity, then your case is very much strong in your favour. Show that Map/Layout to the Chairman and ask him to open access road for all users/society residents. If he is doing so, then serve him a legal notice for arising legal consequences.
