Not refund booking amount

Sir, I book car in February month 2013 but because some family problem I am unable to purchase the car so that apply for booking amount refund in the dealership but they are not refund my amount as on that so please suggest us what can i do again them.

What was the agreement? If there any terms and clause between you two in writing then it needs to be seen before making any comment.

Please read terms and conditions of booking and refund of booking amount. Probably, registration amount may not be refundable on cancellation of order.

In this competitive asylum non refund of booking amount on cancellation of booking by a car dealer is rare. Which car did you booked. However, you have to go through terms and conditions of the booking. If the condition does not exist, issue legal notice.

you must have the receipt mentioning terms and conditions of booking . on cancellation booking amount are refunded by the manufacturer . issue legal notice as advised by experts

You have not told about amount involved.Nor have you told about terms generally printed overleaf of cash receipt issued and is there a warning printed above your signature that you have read over the overleaf printed terms before signing are the things to test who has what right in case of cancellation.
Generally booking amount would be taken in law that parties meant business and seller can claim of it's actual losses caused due to cancellation of order under terms of booking from the buyer from earnest proving due knowledge of terms to buyer ; but he can not claim all if losses are far below or any thing more if the earnest is much below the losses caused.

Better visit a local lawyer with the idea advanced here to issue a notice calling upon seller for refund of earnest(deposit amount).
