Hi,
Our head office in another country needs to execute a POA in favour of one employee in India. The Company abroad and the company in India are two different companies. Could you please tell me if the POA to be executed by an authorised person in another country needs to be notarized here in India or in the country of its execution?

It has to be executed abroad and countersigned by Indian embassy abroad. After it reaches India, it has to be entered in the registers of jurisdictional Registrar of Revenue Department (who registers documents under Indian Registration Act).
This is the required procedure. But some people get it notarized in the country where POA is executed and counter-notarized in India. This is not recognised procedure. But, it works unofficially.
