we have a plot in chennai in my mothers name. my mother expired long ago and my father recently expired. we are two brothers and one sister.
how can we partion the plot. whether we have to for partion deed or a transfer deed. whether it should be regd. in the registrars office.

Go for partition if you need, else have it as joint owners. A partition deed is to be registered; you may also jointly sell the plot and share the sale proceeds, for which no further deed for partition will be necessary.

U all brother and sister get equal share in property, better do registered partition and share the property; use the property for benefial and welfare sake indiudualy, any way one or the other day if not today but latter partition has to be done,so do it now if feel convienent.
