Passport verification by police

Hi Experts,
I have applied fresh passport .My problem is that my all documents are old address(my uncle's house)but i living at other place. when police comes for verification it find all thing is ok but they are not agree for living to other place
i want to know that in this case my application can be rejected or any other way to correct it. police demanding money to process my application further.
so please tell me what is batter way.

you must be having leave and license agreement duly regd . if you have purchased flat agreemet papers . it should suffice

You have to provide proofs for police verification that you are living at the place address of which you have mentioned in your passport application.
How can you hope police would verify your residence to some other place while you are not living there actually.
