Pay fixation in psu banks for ex service man

Dear sir
I am an Ex service man. I was retired from Airforce on 31 Oct 2007. However I have got the job in bank on 21 oct 2013.
My total salary while leaving Airforce was this
Basic pay---9380
Grade pay ---2800
Gcb-----------120
MSP----------2000(notional)
Classification pay----300(notional)
DA@--9% _-----_------1096
Total----------------13396
Now bank has fixed my salary Rs 7600as basic +present rate of DA on this
Kindly tell me is this correct becouse the letter which banks quote from DOPT is says Basic pay + grade pay + x pay
Kindly advise me accordingly

who knows better than your Bank Personnel Dept??? pl ask them..
we cannot advise on bank salary/ break-ups / amt.

Dear Anil,
In your case, several criteria like the follwong would need be checked:
- Last Pay Scale on retirement;
- Pay scale on which you are re-appointed;
- Pension, Gratuity, etc., received by you;
- Whether pensionary benefits ignored or taken fully in account while fixing pay;
- If ignored, the portion of pension, gratuity equivalent of pension, etc., ignored on fixation of pay;
- Provisions of Recruitment Rules on the element of pay permissible for re-employed pensioners;
- Terms of appointment conveyed at the time of recruitment;
So, it would be better if you get your documents examined from some local expert. Otherwise, you may better read, yourself, the provisions of the Central Civil Services (Fixation of pay of Reemployed Pensioners) orders 1986, along with the Government of India Orders issued with respect to the effect of the 6th CPC on pay & allowances.

Banks have fixed norms for fixation of pay for ex-service man in public sector Banks. Go through the respective service Rules and claim as per norms. It seems you have not been confirmed till date and are on probation, you should represent for fixation after your confirmation in last week of March, 2014. In case of doubt you may consult staff association office bearers.
