Payment of Service rendered

(Querist) 14 December 2015 This query is : Resolved
I am the retired executive of the bank. After my retirement the bank made a written request to me for the services to assist the bank in particular borrower case. In the communication, there was no mention of amount for services. Considering the urgency of the bank, I didn't bargain & joined for 45 days. I thought they will pay as per norms. But when I didn't turned up, I submitted my claim for Rs 88300/-. I take the base of my last drawn salary minus pension and divided by days multiply by 45. This is the formula applied every where when retirees are called on contracts. But the bank is not paying me and silent on my claim. I seek guidence from expert about remedy as per law including approaching District Consumer forum. Please guide.

The matter may not be within the purview of Consumer Court. You may need to move a Civil Court. As the first step, you may serve a Notice, preferably through an advocate.

You may need to claim that after written request you were assured to be paid @......

Usually such arrangements are made by BM/Circle Manager.

As a banker you should be aware of it.

You shall need to engage them and obtain a written communication or claim that the silence was deemed acceptance and delay was caused.
