Police may mention case was registered and quashed and no criminal case is pending.

When the case is quashed where is the criminal record?. If there is a mention about the case and record in which way it is harmful to you?
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 25 November 2013
Apply to the concerned SHO.
Biswanath Roy (Expert) 25 November 2013
FIR quashing order itself will be treated as clearance. Take out a certified copy of quash order from the court.
Ms.Nirmala P.Rao (Expert) 25 November 2013
Yes! Formally, it'd be mentioned in Police clearance certificate that you are accused of certain criminal charges and ultimately on account of FIR itself being quashed you are exonerated of those criminal charges. Police should not mention if quashed. Contact SHO.

REPETITION OF A SILLY QUERY. DUTIES OF THE POLICE ARE BEING REGULATED BY THE POLICE ACT AND CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE. NO WHERE IT CAN BE SEEN THAT POLICE CAN ISSUE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate Online (Expert) 26 November 2013
Biswanatha Roy has rightly opined. Please follow the course of action suggested by Barman.
V R SHROFF (Expert) 26 November 2013
concerned SHO WILL DO NEDFUL.
