Hi,
we have our house in a panchayati land & having possess from last approx 40 year, we have rashan card, Electricity bill, House tax receipts of this address. approx half of our village (appx 200 houses) living in panchayati land, this land was issued by gram panchayat to villagers approx 40 year back after depositing of a fees, but not no one have these recpts, now one more problem is there approx 30 year back a registry was done in favour of Co-Operative bank apprx 4400 sqds in this area our house was covered, but till date we have possess on this land and till date no notice is issued to us regarding this. from some enquiry it comes out that building is out of the land of its registry area,
now please suggest us we have any right on this land.

You are advised to keep mum and continue your peaceful possession.Only one right you can plead that is adverse possession that too when record does not speak your entry over land with permission of gram Panchayat. Inspect tehsil records.

Ashutosh ji,
but in government land, rule of adverse possession is not applied.
