Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 14 November 2014
Is it your query?
TANGO KILO (Querist) 14 November 2014
No sir my friend has cleared bank po
and wants to join it
Needs advice
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 15 November 2014
Then why have you mentioned ' I' in your query?
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 15 November 2014
Ask your friend to consult clerical branch of his unit. They are bound to have copies of all relevant orders/AFO/AFI. Or else let him get copies of orders from AFRO Subroto Park Delhi or Air HQ/DOP.

It is absolutely unfair and unprofessional for an Airman to cause this query query from you, on open public forum, instead of checking with his deptt.

There is no point of law involved.

Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 15 November 2014
Apparently the Airman has appeared in Bank PO examination without informing the deptt and now wants to find a tricky way to secure release.

Please confirm YES or NO
TANGO KILO (Querist) 15 November 2014
Yes sir but he tried to take permission.
Sir there is nothing wrong if anyone wants to do better in life he just wishes to know lawful means if any, otherwise he is proud in his work integrity and service.

Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 16 November 2014
I appreciate the analytical approach of expert Mr. Sudhir Kumar who has successfully caught the tact of author for raising such query.

@Tanoj Kumar,

Your friend (for whom you are seeking FREE legal experts advise) is under contractual obligation, which cannot be terminated unilaterally. There are rules and regulations governing the service terms and condition of IAF personnel(to some extent these are different from civillian counterpart) therefore, I fully agree with the expert advise of Mr. Sudhir Kumar, tell your friend to consult clerical staff of IAF Record office Subrato Park, or AF HQ New Delhi for proper guidance.
TANGO KILO (Querist) 16 November 2014
Thank you all sir.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 17 November 2014
In addition to the experts views, I would like to add that for applying to class I officers post or Bank PO's post, an airman has to obtain written permission from Air HQs through proper channel, on being selected to such post through open competitive examination he can apply for discharge from IAF on the same grounds,if he was permitted to apply, his discharge will be considered subject to service exigencies.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 17 November 2014
I will add to view of Mr Kalaiselva.

Airman needs to seek permission of Airforce to apply for any post including the posts advertised by UPSC where UPSC does not insist through proper channel advertisement.

(+) He is also liable for disciplinary action
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 17 November 2014
I agree to expert Mr. Sudhir Kumar's further views too.
