Dear Experts,
With ban on sun film control on vehicles by the apex court last year May month that I sincerely wish to know present status of the said direction, whether any changes have come up with its previous order . Whether can we use permissible VLT as per sub clause (2) of section 100 of the MVA?
Humble request to all respected experts to share about the present situation of the issue.
Thanking you all.

There has been no change in the directions issued by Hon'ble Supreme Court. Permissible VLT is allowed.

Respected Sir,
Thanking you first of all for your quick answer. I further sincerely wish to put up the issue as follows;
1. I use sun film which is very much lighter, light greenish colour and the same is very much visible from front, rear and side views without any confusion. I am quite sure that the same holds within the permissible VLT limit but not know how much it is.
2. The traffic Police do come across and halt the vehicle for the said issue. The stand towards permissible limit talk holds no point from officers of department with a comment back that all films are banned.
3. Therefore, I am in fix in respect of permissible VLT and its claim in order to put up the lawful permission as ground with respective Police officers.
4. Hence, humble request you to guide me in this regard.
Thanking you Sir..

You can use the film if the same is within the permissible limit as prescribed by the apex court.

Respected Sir,
Thank you for your instant reply. I wish to further need your guidance in the said issue to help me out. Hence please go through one of the paragraphs of the judgement as below;
(27) The manufacturer of the vehicle may manufacture the vehicles with tinted glasses which have Visual Light Transmission (VLT) of safety glasses windscreen (front and rear) as 70 per cent VLT and side glasses as 40 per cent VLT, respectively.No black film or any other material can be pasted on the windscreens and side glasses of a vehicle.
Mine is not manufactured but sure that the VLT is within its permissible limit. Hence your are requested to help me in clarifying the requested point.
Thank you so much Sir...

I repeat if the same is within the permissible limit, you can use it. Check with a technician.
