Problems filling form 1 A

(Querist) 19 June 2008 This query is : Resolved
Hi,
I filled form 1A with the company name as initials of names of the members of my family. it was suffixed with private limited.

The authorised capital I showed was Rs 100,000.

The objectives of the company were:
Primary objectives of DPHM Private Limited is to do leveraged short term and long term investing in Indian Stock Exchanges like NSE and BSE.

My form was rejected with the following reasons:
"abbreviated names is not considered for new co, and less authorised capital for investment SRN should be resubmitted by 17/07/2008.This is the last time this SRN can be resubmitted. Thereafter further resubmissions of this SRN shall not be allowed."

Please suggest me what I am doing wrong here. Thanks.

Explain atleast one letter in DPHM. The name should be sensible. Only alphabets name not a name.

When quote a share capital, and purpose of the company and say it is dealing in Securities and non-banking finance then I feel you attract a circular whihc states that an investment of 2 Crore in mandatory.

I have explained that DPHM stands for the initials of the members of my family even in form 1A. I wil make it explicit alright.

Ok so if my company is going to deal in a share market, i need an auth capital of 2 crores ? thats huge for me as a startup.

If you can elaborate any more that how i can start a company that basically buys and sells MFs etc (or maybe invest in real Estate as well) what should I fill the columns with.

Thanks

In the alternative you can apply for a comapany with other name. If you are still insisting on the very forst name you can give reason for the same to the registrar of copanies. Otherwise you can file writ petition against the order of ROC.
